CHERYL MCNEILL
At
the age of 14 she began to express herself creatively through silk
screening and drawing. Cheryl attended Emory University in Atlanta,
Georgia.
Cheryl
had spent nearly her entire life in the rough and tumble world of
professional politics. She served on successful campaigns for Governor
and Congress around the country, and also on two presidential campaigns.
Cheryl was even elected in her own right, winning a seat on the
Board of Mayor and Aldermen of Manchester, New Hampshire in 1997.
In 2002, Cheryl was recognized for her achievements, and was named
a "Rising Star"
by Campaigns & Elections magazine.
However,
politics may be exciting, but it can also be rigid and draining.
Cheryl needed an outlet to express herself creatively. One day she
decided she was going to learn more about working with glass, a
beautiful and elegant medium that has always intrigued her.
What had started out as a hobby became a career. Cheryl left politics
forever, and an entirely new and exciting life had just begun. Cheryl
transformed her modest garage into a studio, constructed a blasting
booth, and invested most of her savings in paints, glass and supplies.
Less
than two years later, Cheryl is showcased her work with interior
designers and design showrooms across Arizona. Cheryl also works
with countless individuals who have specific designs in mind, to
create custom glassworks that is their own unique personal expression.
As
Albert Einstein once said, "True art is characterized by an
irresistible urge in the creative artist." Cheryl believes
that passion must be at the heart of any endeavor, and Cheryl brings
a genuine passion and meticulous devotion to each piece of art she
creates. Cheryl's designs are mostly inspired by her surroundings.
