About the Artists:
From
a young age, Jeanne was always creating something! In 1975, when
it was time to go to college, she was drawn to the visual arts.
Two years later she graduated from Montgomery County Community College,
PA, and then attended Tyler School of Art, PA, where she was introduced
to weaving, glass blowing and jewelry.
In
1987, she was introduced to papermaking. ^It was an immediate connection
with the process and creativity. ̄ Jeanne became a full-time artist
and over the years has pushed the limits of paper to new heights.
She has received various awards and book publications in recognition
of her unique approach to her medium.
Dennis grew up always drawing
something! As a youngster, one of his claims to fame was drawing
the dog on the matchbook cover and sending it in for a correspondence
course. In 1970, he started painting exteriors of Victorian homes.
Tired of having to depend on good weather, his interest was captured
by Faux Finishing in 1991. He attended classes and his growing interest
eventually turned into a business. He continues to attend classes
learning the latest products and techniques. ^It is truly wonderful!
I finally found something that I absolutely love and can still say
is very exciting! ̄
Jeanne
& Dennis met in 2002, started collaborating their talents in
2003, married in 2004, and are still learning the joys of working
together. The adventure continues!!!
